Bio
This is my magic/religion/etc. LJ. I have a fairly large public site known to friends and family but I'm not out to all of them as pagan, so now I have this. I used to be [info]rationalwiccan but the name seemed too ... narrow. So now I have a totally absurd, meaningless name! Yay!

I have a Flickr page if you're interested in pix I've taken of stuff mentioned in this LJ.

Sayings/proverbs/advice that resonate with me:

God is Self and Self is God and God is a person like myself.

Perceive first, believe later. - Victor Anderson

Submit your life-force to no one and no thing.

Do not become that which you resist - Victor Anderson

I affirm in the here and now
That we are three souls in one body,
And that you are the highest, best, and most perfect part of me.
Give me each day that which I need:
Keep me from evil, though it be the very thing I pray for,
And bring me to the good, even though from ignorance I don't know enough to ask for it.
ALL THREE SOULS ARE STRAIGHT WITHIN ME!

"One does not need buildings, money, power, or status to practice the Art of Peace. Heaven is right where you are standing, and that is the place to train." - Morihei Ueshiba

"Readers, both Feri and non-Feri, should understand that my version of Feri is not quite like anyone else's, which makes me just like every other Feri. We are each cranky, highly individual, fiercely devoted to our own personal vision and the expression of it in ritual and in daily life. ... And remember: your mileage may vary. In fact, if it doesn't vary, perhaps you aren't paying sufficient attention." -Vdub, Everything You Know Is Wrong

"Anything worthwhile is dangerous." - Victor Anderson
"...but not everything dangerous is worthwhile". - Thorn Coyle

"Choose your suffering, or your suffering will choose you." - [info]dionysusdevotee's father, cited here.

"Christians, Jews, and Muslims are known as
the People of the Book.

Pagans, however, have always realized that
one book can never be enough.

Monotheists are Peoples of the Book;
the Pagans are the People of the Library." -- Steven Posch, 2005

"I truly believe evil enters in through our disconnection. Evil is not some force out in the world, evil happens when we forget we have these states of connection, whether we're not connected inside or whether we're disconnecting ourselves from the world around us." -- T. Thorn Coyle, in Ex Templo Podcast #6
